Contraband found at the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility

On Thursday, August 15th at approximately 12:20 a.m. a mass shakedown was conducted at the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility. Several different agencies assisted including: Humphreys County SO, Bolivar County SO, Leflore County SO, Sunflower County SO, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Yazoo County Correctional Officers, and Yazoo County SO. Over 50 cell phones were discovered, alcohol, knives, homemade tattoo guns, several bags of marijuana, several bags of methamphetamine, WiFi hotspot modems, and homemade phone chargers. 

This was another successful attempt to recover contraband that had made its way into the facility. We would like to thank all of the different agencies that came in to assist in this operation. Good things happen when agencies work together.
