Couple arrested on drugs and weapons charge


On Friday, June 21, 2024, at 9:44 p.m. Officers
stopped a black Nissan sedan near the intersection of Porter’s Chapel Road and Indiana Avenue for speeding. A search revealed seventeen pills that resembled Hydrocodone and a stolen Glock 9mm firearm. Arrested at the scene were Conti Tillis,31,and Christianna Howard, 28, both of Vicksburg.
Tillis is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. In Vicksburg Municipal Court on Monday, June 24, 2024, Judge Angela Carpenter set his bond at $70,000 and bound him over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Howard faces a charge of Possession of a Stolen Firearm and was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury by Judge Carpenter on a $5,000 bond.
