Donna Ray Cobb

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Donna Ray Cobb died Tuesday, November 18, 2025. She was 73.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Catherine Price Ray and Edward B. Ray, Sr. She attended St. Aloysius High School and worked for a number of years with the United States Postal Service. Donna will be remembered for her devotion to her family, who fondly describe her as selfless, giving, and much loved. She enjoyed spending time in her yard, gardening, attending to her hummingbirds and watching the deer roam. She was adored by her husband and especially by her nieces and nephews. She was giving and loving and will be missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Timmy and Ricky Ray, and a sister, Theresa Ray Boykin.

She is survived by her husband, C. H. “Boney” Cobb, of Vicksburg; brothers, Eddie Ray Jr. (Mary), Tommy Ray (Mary), all of Vicksburg; Bobby Ray, of Valley Park; Larry Ray (Michelle), of Vicksburg; Renee’ Ray Mustin (Ward), of Houston, TX; Cathy Ray Edwards (Marvin), of Vaiden; Libby Ray Flowers (Al), Mike Ray, all of Oklahoma; and David Ray, of Lumberton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, 191 Highway 80 in Vicksburg, the Rev. Brian Parker, Pastor, Bovina Baptist Church, officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning at Monsour & Patin Funeral Directors, 1830 Cherry Street, Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Brayden Ray, Jamie Ray, Jody Ray, Trent Edwards, Ryan Ray, and Justin Vinzant.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kelly Ray, Butch Burrows, and Lawrence Ray.
