The Vicksburg – Warren Chamber of Commerce issued a press release announcing poll manager training. Here is the info:

We are excited about the upcoming Poll Manager training session scheduled for February. Your commitment to civic engagement is highly valued, and we want to remind you of this fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Training Details:

  • Date: Thursday, February 22
  • Time: 8:30am – 12:30pm
  • Location: Ardis T. Williams Sr. City Auditorium

Why Should You Participate?

Becoming a Poll Manager is not just about volunteering; it’s about actively shaping the democratic process. Here’s why your participation is crucial:

  • Community Service: By attending the training, you are contributing to the smooth and fair conduct of elections in our community. Your service is invaluable.
  • Civic Engagement: As a Poll Manager, you play a pivotal role in fostering civic participation. You are the face of our democratic process, ensuring that every vote counts.
  • Compensation: In addition to the fulfillment of serving your community, Poll Managers are compensated $200 for each election worked, plus an extra $20 per hour for training.
