VICKSBURG, Miss.River City Rescue Mission‘s Earnie Hall was recognized by the community for his decades of service this past Friday, November 8.

In a presentation at the Rescue Mission, Hall was surprised by the Warren County Chamber of Commerce. With help from Earnie’s wife, Cecile, the Chamber surprised Hall with the presentation.

“Earnie, we’re with the Vicksburg Chamber of Commerce and we want to thank you so much for all that you do,” said Chamber Executive Director Chris Rials to a startled Earnie Hall. “One of your previous employees submitted your name for all that you do.”

The Chamber went on to recognize Hall as the winner of the “You Caught My Eye” program.

“Congratulations, you’ve been nominated for the Vicksburg Warren County Chamber of Commerce’s ‘You Caught My Eye’ program by Valerie Shepard,” said Rials. “The ‘You Caught My Eye’ program acknowledges individuals in the community who provide excellent customer service or go out of their way to assist another citizen or visitor.”

You can watch the Vicksburg Daily News live video below.

At the end of the live video Hall invites the community to a church service that evening.
