A new documentary will air on July 23, 2024, in Vicksburg at the Strand Theatre at 7 p.m. “Echoes of Evil: The Rafael McCloud Story” will give viewers an opportunity to hear from multiple individuals who were involved in one of Vicksburg’s most gruesome murders.

The 42-minute film will feature the crimes of Rafael McCloud, who confessed to raping and killing 69-year-old Sharen Wilson in 2015. The documentary will also offer their explanation of McCloud’s escape from the Warren County Jail just less than a year after his arrest.

District Attorney Ricky Smith, Former Police Chief Walter Armstrong, Deputy Police Chief Troy Kimble, Crime Scene Investigator Diawardrick Grover, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, Paranormal Investigator David Childers, along with reporters Tommy Parker and Erica Durst gave a full insight into how one man spooked the citizens of Warren County.

How did McCloud kill Mrs. Wilson? Why did he choose Mrs.Wilson? What other crimes did he confess to are questions that will all be answered in this film?

McCloud’s rage expanded to Fort Hill where he tortured another family after his escape. Details on what went on inside that home where he held a wife, son, and husband hostage for four hours are also shared.

The film is brought to you by ForgetMeNot Films LLC. Tickets will be available on Tuesday, July 16 at Highway 61 Coffee House at 1101 Washington Street.

After the film, the audience will have a chance to ask the filmmaker additional questions.
