Eddie James Lee, Sr.: 1943-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Eddie James Lee, Sr., 82, has passed.

Funeral services for Eddie James Lee, Sr are to be held on Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. in the Zion Traveler M. B. Church 1701 Poplar St. with the Reverend Alfred E. Lassiter, Jr. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home ; visitation will be on Friday April 18 in the funeral home from 5 till 6 p.m.

Eddie James Lee, Sr went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, following a brief illness.  He was 82.  He had worked for Waterways Experiment Station (ERDC) and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Lee and Idella Robinson, his son Eddie James Lee, Jr, his brother Robert Lee, and his sister Johnnie B. Anthony.

He is survived by his wife Doris Lee, his daughters Vanessa Williams of Clarksville, TN, and Alisa Younger of Vicksburg, his sister Mary Pines of North Carolina, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
