Gators picked up district wins over Columbus

Both the boys and girls Vicksburg High School soccer team pulled off wins against Columbus on Friday night.

Boys:

The Gators(4-11) went into overtime just shortly after being down by two goals. They would eventually outscore Columbus 3-2 in a shootout where Arthur Davis grabbed three saves.

The district win was the Gators first since 2021. Cameron Nailor and Dacion Brown both scored the two regular goals while Cannon Jackson, Brown and Abel Gonzalez had PK’s. Davis finished with eight saves in the big win.

Missy Gators:

The Missy Gators(5-7) came away with a 6-0 shutout win as Amari Johnson scored two goals. Trinity McGloster scored two and Kennedy Mullins and Camden McGloster had one. Lili Kistler finished with two saves.
