WC and Missy Gators grabbed wins on Friday

Local teams played in basketball games on Friday night.

Warren Central boys:

The Vikings secured a 63-55 win against Columbus as Gaylon Turner Jr. led with 21 points. Garrett Orgas-Fisher put up 13 points while Jaylon Winters scored 11 points and Roosevelt Harris Jr. added 10. Larry Reynolds Jr. and Ronnie Blossom both scored four points.

Lady Vikes:

WC took a 59 -17  loss as Harmony Wright led the Lady Vikes with nine points. Shay Hodge, Mariah Perkins, Jakya Perkins and Janiya Scroggins all had two points.

Missy Gators:

The Missy Gators took down Ridgeland 56-51 as Kierra James scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Cynia Johnson put up 10 points and snatched eight rebounds while Rodrianna Hall added nine points. Terri Boyd scored six points and Jada Erwin contributed five while Carjessa Albert added two.

Vicksburg:

The Gators took a 61-50 loss to the Titans. Davian Williams scored 23 points and Kam Bailey added 12. Mikey Johnson scored six points and Tyler Henderson put up four while Kealon Bass and Mincer Minor IV both scored two. Jaylin Jackson hit a free throw.
