Port Gibson defeated Wesson on Friday

Port Gibson High School girl’s basketball team defeated Wesson 52-45 on Friday night.

The Blue Waves went up 22-14 in the first quarter after shots made from Camara Evans, Rekiya Evans and Ger’Kiya Flowers. By halftime, PG was up 38-25 once Amiyah Hedrick and Flowers kept things under control.

The Blue Waves maintained their lead in the second half and pulled off the victory.Flowers and Evans both scored 16 points and Washington added 11. Kenaja Murray both scored four points and Kennedy Davis put up two.

PG will travel South Pike on Tuesday.
