Gators shutout Callaway 13-0 on Thursday

Vicksburg High School baseball team earned a district win over Callaway on Thursday.

A triple from Chris Green, double by Kealon Bass and an RBI by Tyler Carter gave VHS the 3-0 first inning lead. Carter also hit a double in the second while Seven West and Bass produced hits as the Gators picked up five more runs to go up 8-0.

By the third inning, VHS had a double digit lead by going up 11-0 after a two-run triple by Carter and an RBI from West. The game ended after the fourth once Mincer Minor IV smashed a bit that brought in the final two wins.

Kaleb Doss and Bass(2 RBIs) both finished with two hits while Carter went 2 for 4 with four RBIs. Green(1 RBI) and Minor(3 RBIs) both had one hit.

Bass struck out five batters and only allowed one hit while Doss struck out two.
