Ger’Kiya Flowers led Port Gibson to a district win on Monday

Vicksburg, Miss.-Ger’Kiya Flowers had a dominating performance on Monday as she led Port Gibson High School to a 54-50 win over Franklin County High School. Last night’s win marks the beginning of district play as PG is now 1-0.

Flowers led the Blue Waves with 28 points as a total of three PG players finished with double digits in scoring. Kanaja Murray added 14 points on the board while Kennajia Goods scored 11 in the win. Destiny Neal also hit a free throw.

Port Gibson will have another big game on Friday when they face Jefferson County High School. The location of that game is to be determined.
