Governor declares Friday as a day of mourning for fallen deputy Jeremy Malone
Governor Tate Reeves announced Thursday that the state will observe a day of mourning for Jeremy Malone, the George County deputy who was killed in the line of duty January 4.
“Deputy Jeremy Malone was a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice while keeping us safe,” Reeves wrote on his Facebook page. “Mississippi will never forget him, and our entire state will always be grateful for his service.”
