Zaria Gibson honored with 40 Under 40 Business Elite Award in New York

Zaria Gibson, a Vicksburg native and real estate investor, was recently recognized as a honoree of the 40 Under 40 Business Elite Awards during a ceremony at the St. Regis Hotel in Manhattan, New York.

Gibson was selected from a pool of approximately 4,000 applicants for the prestigious recognition program, which honors entrepreneurs and senior executives whose leadership, achievements and professional impact distinguish them within their industries.

The 40 Under 40 program is a flagship recognition initiative of Business Elite Awards and follows a competitive selection process designed to identify rising leaders from various business sectors.

Since entering the real estate industry in 2019, Gibson has specialized in acquiring, renovating and reselling residential properties while also building rental portfolios. As a licensed real estate agent and investor, she has focused on helping first-time homebuyers gain access to affordable housing opportunities while mentoring new agents and investors entering the industry.

Working in a field traditionally dominated by men, Gibson has built a reputation for strategic leadership and successful real estate investments. Her expertise includes real estate law, sales, finance, accounting, economics and strategic management.

Through her company, Gibson works to revitalize neighborhoods by transforming distressed properties into fully renovated homes. Many of the homes provide buyers with built-in equity, down payment and closing cost assistance, modern upgrades and homeownership education opportunities.

Within a few years of launching her business, Gibson built a real estate portfolio valued at more than $1 million through the acquisition of properties for resale and rental investments.

In addition to the 40 Under 40 honor, Gibson has received several recognitions, including the Small Business of the Year Award from the Best of Mississippi Awards. She has also been inducted into the Hall of Fame and recognized by Who’s Who in America and Marquis Who’s Who.

Gibson maintains memberships in several professional and civic organizations, including the National Association of Realtors, Innovate Mississippi, and the Byram and Madison chambers of commerce.
