Hazardous Waste Day

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Warren County Board of Supervisors and the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sherman Avenue School parking lot, 2145 Sherman Ave. The event will be held rain or shine.

Residents can safely dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous household waste free of charge, along with an opportunity for document shredding.

Accepted Items

Hazardous Waste:

  • Batteries
  • Used motor oil
  • Antifreeze
  • Insecticides & pesticides
  • Aerosols
  • Acids
  • Flammable liquids
  • Paint
  • Computer equipment
  • LP cylinders
  • TVs
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Ammunition

Non-Hazardous Waste:

  • Metals (including appliances, brass, aluminum, copper, steel, and bi-metal cans)
  • Tires
  • Clothes
  • Furniture

Document Shredding:

Residents can bring documents for secure shredding. All staples, paperclips, binder clips, and metal objects should be removed before drop-off.
