“I’m thrilled to get things started this year and we have 24 ladies but I’m accepting the challenge,” Wells said. “My plan is to support them in any way and help them gain support from the community as well.”

Besides dancing at football games, Wells mentioned that the Gator Girls will be performing at a basketball game and multiple parades, including the Alcorn and Port Gibson Parades. They are a proud part of the band and they represent the football team.

Wells is a 2011 graduate of Vicksburg High School where she was a Gator Girl. She went on to become a Banner Girl at Alcorn for two years and graduated with a Biochemistry Degree. She also has a Medtech Degree from Pearl River Community College and Wells is now a chemistry teacher and a Medtech at River Region.

Jaime is the daughter of James and Carrie Cruthirds. She is married to Robert Wells and has two children, Jordan Cruthirds and Raina Wells.
