Jefferson County defeated Port Gibson

Fayette, Miss.-Jefferson County High School girls’ and boys’ basketball teams pulled off victories over Port Gibson on Friday. The Lady Tigers won 37-30 and the boys won 55-50.

Lady Tigers:

Adrianna Gaines was the main contributor for JC as she put up 22 points. Daiyondra Banks added five points on the board while Kassidy McComb, Jaida Williams, and Charnecia Bates all scored two points. Semia Dunbar hit a free throw.

Boys:

Royal Shelvy Jaiden Greenleaf and Jadavis Galtney all scored in double digits for JC as they put up 16, 14, and 10 points. Keldrick Wilson scored eight points while Jaquan Collins put up five and Ethan Gibson added two points in the win. 

The boys are now 2-0 in district play and JC will travel to play South Pike on Tuesday.
