Lady Vikes shutout Kosciusko on Saturday

Vicksburg, Miss.-Warren Central High School girls’ soccer team improved to 14-3 on the year after defeating Kosciusko 3-0 on Saturday. 

The game remained tight in the first half as both teams were scoreless. 20 minutes into the second half Melissa Herrle got the Lady Vikes on the board with the first goal. One of Kosciusko’s players was ejected from the game after playing rough and WC was able to bring in two more goals from Jordan Polk and Rachel Opperman. Polk also had an assist and Mary Clell Allred had two.

WC will host Neshoba Central on Tuesday.

Boys:

The Vikings tied with Kosciusko 0-0 on Friday. Jamarian Shelly had three saves for WC.
