Jefferson County won their second consecutive district championship on Friday

Jefferson County High gave Wesson their first loss of the season as they won their second consecutive district championship on Friday in a 42-12 victory.

Royale Shelvy was all over the field as he scored four touchdowns to help the Tigers cruise away with the win. Jabari Watson  took the snaps at quarterback where he threw one touchdown and rushed for another. Luke Bolin also had a receiving touchdown and Jamari Tenner rushed for one touchdown.

Defensively, JJ Claiborne contributed heavily by grabbing four tackles, one interception and one forced fumble. Jaekwon Collins,
Kederian Washington and Jermall Williams all made big stops in the win. Deanthony Miller also stepped up by defending Wesson’s four-star athlete.

JC is coached by Roderick Holmes and they will host Southeast Lauderdale on Friday.
