St. Aloysius 4×100 relay claims state title
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The St. Aloysius girls track and field team crowned a state champion on Saturday as the Lady Flashes’ 4×100-meter relay team captured first place at the state meet in Mississippi.
Kelci Bingham, Madelyn Kavanaugh, Kennadi Blassingame and Megan Theriot teamed up to win the 4×100 relay in 52.77 seconds, securing the program’s lone state title of the meet.
St. Aloysius added another podium finish in the 4×200 relay, where Addy Hardaway, Kavanaugh, Blassingame and Theriot placed third with a time of 1:52.94.
Individual results:
- Annslee Averett finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles and sixth in the 100-meter hurdles.
- Kelci Bingham placed seventh in the 300-meter hurdles and eighth in the 100-meter hurdles.
- Dru Gleese earned fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles.
Boys relay results:
- The 4×100-meter relay team of John Hossley, Sam Ashley, Jack Dickerson and Beau Brogdon finished fourth in 46.50 seconds.
- The same quartet placed fifth in the 4×200-meter relay.
