Nyla Henton joins Hinds Community College basketball cheer team

Nyla Henton, a Vicksburg native, will continue her cheerleading career at Hinds Community College after joining the Bulldogs’ basketball cheer team.

The announcement was shared on social media Friday, where Henton was pictured wearing Hinds Community College apparel, confirming she will cheer for the Bulldogs’ basketball program.

Henton recently graduated from Vicksburg High School, where she spent four years as a member of the Gators cheerleading squad. During her senior season, she served as co-captain under head coach Shalanda Harris.

Hinds Community College’s basketball season is scheduled to begin this fall, when Henton will make her debut cheering for the Bulldogs in Utica.
