VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Rolling Fork native Zac Sias has been named an assistant football coach at Eastern Michigan University, where he will primarily work with the defensive tackles after previous coaching stops at multiple programs.

At Mississippi Valley State, Sias played on the offensive line and helped the Delta Devils improve their rushing offense from negative net yardage in 2017 to 1,160 yards in 2018.
Sias began his coaching career at Mississippi Delta Community College, serving as defensive line coach from 2020-22. He later spent two seasons at Arkansas State University as a graduate assistant working with the Red Wolves’ defense from 2022-24.
In 2024, Sias joined the University of Kansas staff as an assistant linebackers coach, focusing on player development, drill design, film analysis and defensive scheme execution.
Eastern Michigan is scheduled to open its season Aug. 29 at home against Sacramento State.
