WC and VHS volleyball picked up road wins on Tuesday

Warren Central and Vicksburg high schools achieved road volleyball victories on Tuesday. Warren Central swept Callaway, while Vicksburg won a five-set match against Lanier, showcasing strong performances from players like Alice Luna and Divine Tulloch.

Warren Central and Vicksburg high schools brought home road volleyball victories Tuesday night as the Lady Vikes defeated Callaway and the Missy Gators knocked off Lanier.

Warren Central cruised to a three-set sweep, winning 25-6, 25-15 and 25-9.

Alice Luna led the Lady Vikes with 17 points and seven aces. Kylie Hearn contributed 14 points and five aces, while McKinley Owen finished with 13 points and four aces.

Warren Central stats:

  • Kylie Hearn — 14 points, 5 aces
  • Alice Luna — 17 points, 7 aces
  • McKinley Owen — 13 points, 4 aces
  • Lauren Stamps — 9 points
  • Evella Fairley — 7 points, 2 aces
  • KeKe McKay — 12 points, 2 aces
  • Kaylynn Moore — 1 point
  • Kennedy Smith — 2 points, 1 ace

Vicksburg went five sets to secure its victory over Lanier. The Missy Gators won 25-11, 23-25, 25-11, 16-25 and 15-9.

Divine Tulloch led VHS with 20 points, two aces and 20 digs. Zipporah Drake had 18 points, six aces and 27 digs, while Zaria Jones recorded 15 points and a team-high 35 digs. Kenley Henderson also had a strong defensive performance with 26 digs.

  • Zipporah Drake — 6 aces, 18 points, 27 digs
  • Jermaria Wright — 1 ace, 13 points, 18 digs
  • Layla Johnson — 3 points
  • Alaina Williams — 4 aces, 16 points, 21 digs
