Vikings defeat VHS for the 15th year in a row in a 45-3 victory
Warren Central High School defeated Vicksburg High 45-3, marking the Vikings’ 15th consecutive victory over their crosstown rival. The win improved Warren Central’s record to 4-0, while Vicksburg fell to 0-4 on the season.

Warren Central High School football team defeated crosstown rival Vicksburg High for the 15th year in a row Friday night, earning a 45-3 victory.
The Vikings remained undefeated and improved to 4-0 on the season, while the Gators fell to 0-4.
Warren Central wasted little time taking control, scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter to build a 21-0 lead.
Quarterback Nash Morgan opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run before breaking loose for a 46-yard touchdown. Javid Scott added a 2-yard touchdown run, while Nick Lee converted all three extra-point attempts.
The Vikings also made their presence felt defensively. Crishun Brown recorded an early sack, Micah Moore disrupted multiple plays in the backfield and Jamal Washington added a first-quarter sack.
Vicksburg began finding some offensive rhythm midway through the second quarter. Quarterback Tank Selvy Jr. connected with Jaquez Jones for a 40-yard gain, while Selvy added runs of 12 and 15 yards to help move the Gators down the field.
The drive ended with a field goal by Casey Brown, cutting Warren Central’s lead to 21-3.
Wallyss Curry also came up with several defensive stops for the Gators.
Warren Central quickly answered. Nash Morgan connected with Doss Morgan for a 13-yard completion before finding Cameron Zellous for a 30-yard gain. Just before halftime, Xavier Jackson scored on a 2-yard run to send the Vikings into the locker room with a 28-3 advantage.
Nash Morgan continued making plays with his legs after halftime while also completing passes of 10 and 14 yards to Doss Morgan and Layton Lee. Lee capped the drive with a field goal with 5:48 remaining in the third quarter, extending Warren Central’s lead to 31-3.
Jaylen Smith and Curry each made tackles in the backfield for Vicksburg, while Warren Central’s Cole Nolan recorded a sack late in the third quarter.
Jackson struck again with 33 seconds remaining in the third, scoring on a 15-yard run for his second touchdown of the night and pushing the Vikings’ lead to 38-3.
Aiden Lumpkin provided the final score with a 34-yard touchdown run, giving Warren Central the 45-3 victory.
Warren Central will host Madison Central next week, while Vicksburg will travel to Yazoo City in search of its first win of the season.
