Eight Vicksburg natives make Alcorn State cheerleading roster

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Eight Vicksburg natives have earned spots on the Alcorn State University cheerleading team, according to the program’s 2026-27 roster released in April.

The group includes Kadajai Allen, Kei’Mya Walton, Precious Drayton, Amyiah Montgomery, Jamisen Cage, Kelie Brown, Javeon Bohanon and Avyonna Buck. All eight are former varsity cheerleaders from Warren Central High School or Vicksburg High School.

Allen and Walton have also been selected as co-captains for the upcoming season. The team will be led by head coach Dr. Timothy Queen and assistant coach Kala Blanton.
