JSU’s Robert McDaniel to Enter the NFL Draft
Jackson State University football player Robert McDaniel announced that he will be entering the 2025 NFL Draft. McDaniel made the announcement earlier this week over social media.
“First and foremost, I just want to give all the glory to God for blessing me with my abilities and for putting me in this position that I am in now. Without Him, all of this wouldn’t even be possible,” McDaniel said.
“To my close ones and family, I thank you for the support that you’ve given me. I thank you for the motivation that keeps me pushing. Thanks for giving me that push factor knowing that nothing has ever been given, but earned. I’m forever grateful for the love shown throughout my journey.”
“To my Jackson State coaches, thank you so much for guiding me, building me, and molding me into the man and player I am. I appreciate every lesson each of you taught me along this journey together. To Coach TC and to Coach Quinn, I thank you for believing in my abilities and my future from the beginning. Thank you for trusting my work ethic and dedication to achieve something that’s never been done in Jackson State’s history: winning a national championship!.”
“To Tiger Nation, I thank you for the love and energy that you have shown during this experience. I will forever cherish the memories and history that we accomplished together. Thank you for continuing to support me and my mission through it all. I’m beyond blessed to be able to start as a Tiger and leave as a Tiger.”
“This has been a lifelong dream of mine, a moment where it’s time to show what God has given me the opportunity and blessing to do.
With that being said, I am officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”
McDaniel is a defensive back for the Tigers, where he grabbed 55 tackles and three interceptions in 2024. He also helped JSU to a SWAC Championship and Celebration Bowl win.
