VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg native and University of South Alabama football player Julien Demby has entered the transfer portal. The freshman linebacker made the announcement last night over social media of his decision to pursue other programs.

“First and foremost I want to thank the Lord for letting me experience a dream I’ve had since I was a child,” he said in a post. “Without my faith in him, I wouldn’t be here today so I will forever be grateful. Secondly, I want to thank my family and friends who have been with me every step of my journey including the highs and lows. With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility left.”

“Thank you to the coaches at South Alabama who helped me along the way to become the person/player I am today. I know the Lord will help me through this process as he has this whole way,” Demby added.
