Kenny Ross Lashley, 1951-2024

Kenny Ross Lashley, age 72 passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. He was born on February 28, 1951, to Jack and Ethelyn Lashley in Vicksburg, MS. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Rena Sullivan. He is survived by his three children, Timothy Lashley, Kristin Mahrt and Daniel Lashley along with his three grandchildren: Julian, Iris and Edith.

Kenny was a remarkable person who brightened the lives of everyone around him. Known for his infections humor, charm and unwavering kindness, he left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. A dedicated and incredibly hardworking individual, he approached hardships in life with humility and self-deprecation. He graduated from Southern Mississippi with a degree in Business and worked several jobs, including a car salesperson, a casino cage supervisor with his profession career bookended by being a manager of a drug store, most recently as a manager of Walgreens.

Kenny was not only an avid reader but also a lover of music and film. He shared these passions, enriching the lives of those around him. He had boundless love for his grandkids that will forever resonate in their hearts. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary individual let us remember Kenny for the laughter and kindness he shared. His legacy lives on in the hearts of family and friends privileged to have shared a part of their lives with him.

A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 12:00-2:00pm at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg, MS.
