Kolten Thomas selected to participate in the Under Armour Next Prospect Tour

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Vicksburg High School baseball player Kolten Thomas has been selected to participate in the Under Armour Next Prospect Tour. Thomas was recently selected for this prestigious opportunity as a freshman to compete against some of the best talents in the nation.
The UA Next Prospect Tour, sponsored by Baseball Factory, provides a national stage for the top high school and middle school players in the country with a comprehensive baseball and scouting experience that includes game play, workouts, athletic testing, metrics, and more, followed by post-event college coach updates. Each event features hundreds of players from all around, hosted at premier baseball facilities across the United States during the summer and fall months.
Plus, playing in the UA Next Prospect Tour gives each player the opportunity to be selected as one of the TOP PLAYERS from each event, earning participation in the UA Next National Prospect Games at the end of the year and recognition as one of the “TOP PROSPECTS” of the year. From there, players could also be invited to play in the prestigious UA Next Preseason All-America event in early 2026. As a player’s journey continues, the country’s best collection of top high school prospects will be invited to UA Next All-America Game showcasing their talents in front of scouts later this summer at Orioles Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.
Thomas is playing under the leadership of VHS Head Coach Brandon Kincaid. With one more district win, the Gators will clinch a playoff spot. The right-fielder and second baseman currently has 12 putouts on the season, nine runs and six hits.
