LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Belhaven Athletics) — Ellie Jones and Anna Caime have been named to the NFCA Division III Player of the Year mid-season watchlist as announced by the coach’s association on Thursday. Jones and Caime join 117 other student-athletes across the 10 Division III regions in being named to the watchlist which also includes candidates for the NFCA Division III Pitcher of the Year.

The senior infielder is hitting a historic .527 through 28 games with a 1.578 OPS. Jones has launched 10 home runs which ties her single-season career high while also driving in 38 runs. Jones ranks among the national leaders in nearly every major offensive category as she leads a highly-productive Blazers’ attack.

Caime joins Jones in putting together a strong 2025 campaign, helping to anchor the middle of the Belhaven lineup. Caime is hitting .341 this season which an 1.103 OPS which ranks second on the team behind only Jones. Caime also sits second in the Blazers’ lineup in doubles (9), home runs (6) and RBI (34) all while playing one of the most demanding positions on the field, behind the plate.

Jones and Caime will look to help lead the Blazers in a critical conference series on Friday against Piedmont in Demorest, Georgia. First pitch against the Lions is set for 11 a.m. Central.
