Warren Central’s season ends in loss to Lake Cormorant

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Warren Central High School’s softball season ended Thursday night with a 2-1 loss to Lake Cormorant. The Lady Vikes finished 16-11 under head coach Brian Ellis.

Warren Central recorded four hits. Laney Bennett delivered a double in the seventh inning that drove in the team’s lone run. Maddy Pant and MK Ferguson each added a hit in the loss.

KK Williamson struck out two batters, while Pant recorded one strikeout.

The Lady Vikes will graduate three seniors but are expected to return most of their roster.

Vicksburg High fell 17-0 to New Hope and will need a win tonight to keep its season alive.
