WC won the Fun in the Sun Swim Meet over the weekend

Warren Central dominated the Fun in the Sun Swim Meet, securing first place overall. The boys’ team scored 121 points while the girls’ team placed second with 93 points, showcasing strong individual performances throughout the event.

Warren Central opened its swimming season with an impressive performance Saturday at the Fun in the Sun Meet at City Pool as the team finished overall in first place. The Viking boys won the meet with 121 points. The Lady Vikes came in second with 93 points

St. Aloysius girls’ team finished third among seven teams with 57 points, highlighted by Olivia Busby’s two individual victories and runner-up finishes from Kate Campbell and Elle Larsen.

Results:

  • Ace Orosco (Warren Central) — Won the 100-yard freestyle (56.60) and 200-yard freestyle (2:10.76); member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.
  • Mason Poole (Warren Central) — Won the 200-yard individual medley (2:48.76); member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team.
  • Chicobea Wilson (Warren Central) — Won the 100-yard backstroke (1:31.50); member of the winning 200 freestyle relay team.
  • Ellis Campbell (Warren Central) — Member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.
  • Arlo Walshire (Warren Central) — Member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.
  • Cormack Wiedenfeld (Warren Central) — Member of the winning 200 medley relay (2:06.71) and 400 freestyle relay (5:03.54) teams.
  • Thompson McHan (Warren Central) — Member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (5:03.54).
  • Aron Primeaux (Warren Central) — Member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (5:03.54).
  • Sicily Smith (Warren Central) — Won the 200-yard individual medley (2:41.76) and 100 freestyle (1:02.16); member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:32.09).
  • Ella Opperman (Warren Central) — Finished second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:46.79); member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:32.09).
  • Addison Billings (Warren Central) — Won the 200 freestyle (2:14.90); finished second in the 100 freestyle (1:03.37); member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:32.09).
  • Aubrey Rankin (Warren Central) — Member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (4:32.09).
  • Olivia Busby (St. Aloysius) — Won the 50 freestyle (27.75) and 100 backstroke (1:14.06).
  • Kate Campbell (St. Aloysius) — Finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (2:12.60).
  • Elle Larson (St. Aloysius) — Finished second in the 100 backstroke (1:20.82).
