Lady Flashes secured a 8-5 win over Manchester

St. Aloysius‘ Lady Flashes took down Manchester Academy 8-5 on Monday to improve to 3-1.
“We did good but there’s a lot we could’ve done better and we all have some errors but we’re going to fix them for tomorrow,” Megan Theriot said.
The Lady Flashes trailed 2-0 in the first couple of innings but quickly turned things around in the third. A two-run triple by Megan Theriot tied the game until Mallory Spencer and Ruthie Britton hit RBIs to give St. Al the 4-2 lead.
Kennadi Blassingame, Kyleigh Cooper, Mallory, and Madison Spencer all picked up some late hits but the score remained the same. MA earned their third run in the sixth but Theriot nailed another two-run triple which was followed by singles from Madison Spencer and Cooper to push their lead to 8-3.
A few late errors by the Flashes gave MA a chance to add two more runs but it wasn’t enough to overcome St. Al as they won 8-5.
Blassingame went 3 for 3 at the plate while Theriot(4 RBIs), Cooper(1 RBI), Madison(1 RBI), and Mallory all had two hits. Britton(1 RBI), Landy Elqadi, and Madelyn Kavanaugh all had one hit. Cooper pitched St. Al to the win where she struck out five batters.
The Lady Flashes will travel to face Riverfield on Tuesday.
