Lillie Sue Williams, 1947-2023

Lillie Sue Williams, age 77, of Starkville, MS, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 21, 2024 at home surrounded by those who loved her dearly. She was born January 13, 1947 in Gulfport, MS to the late Felix McMillan and Ollie Mae Wallace.
Lillie Sue retired from OCH Regional Medical Center after working there for 28 years. In her spare time she loved to work in word search books and read her Bible. Lillie never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She was very well known and loved by many in her community. Lillie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Truth Tabernacle Church in Starkville. Lillie was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles D. Williams, her parents and several siblings.
She is survived by one daughter; Beth (Allen) Chandler of Starkville, MS; three grandchildren, Alexis Meyers and Cory Meyers both of Oklahoma City, OK, Corban Chandler of Starkville, MS; three great grandchildren, three sisters, and one brother.
Pallbearers will be Allen Chandler, Dallas Massey, Lance Buckner, Jeffery Harmon, Todd Turnage, and Kelly Reed. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at Fisher – Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. followed by graveside services at Cedar Hill Cemetery, also in Vicksburg.
