Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann collapses in Senate Chamber

JACKSON, Miss. – Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann collapsed on Wednesday morning, while presiding over the Senate chamber.
After Hosemann collapsed, he was able to stand up on his own and was conscious as he was treated by first responders. The Lt. Gov. declined going to the hospital, WJTV reports.
Governor Tate Reeves issued a brief statement on X, stating that he and the First Lady are praying for the Lt. Governor.
WLBT News reported that Hosemann walked to his office on his own after collapsing, and is “eager” to return to work, according to a statement by his team.
The Senate is scheduled to reconvene at 2 p.m. today.
