Bobby D. Parker foot chase

VICKSBURG, Miss. – A routine stop on 61 N by Warren County Deputies ended in a foot chase and arrest.

Just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, Deputies T’onna Sims and Michael Whitley observed an SUV stopped in the center turn lane on Highway 61 N with a white male and female standing outside the vehicle. After a routine check, the male was discovered to have a warrant out for his arrest and fled on foot.

Deputy Whitley gave chase on foot for nearly a quarter mile. Whitley was able to detain the man, identified as 31-year-old Bobby D. Parker of Hinds County. The deputy found a hypodermic syringe on Parker’s person.

The female occupant was released, and Parker has been charged with drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Parker is being held in the Warren County Jail with no bond.

Sgt. Ray Thompson and Detective Zack Primeaux assisted in the arrest.
