Three Indicted on Sex Crimes Against Children in Warren County

Vicksburg, Miss.-Three people have been indicted in Warren County after being charged with sex crimes against children. Christopher Coke Jones, Robert Early, and LeVonte DeLawrence James have been indicted by the January term of the Warren County Grand Jury.
Jones:
Christopher Jones was arrested on one count of Molesting. He is accused of molesting a child under the age of 16 years old. Jones allegedly committed this on or about October 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.

Early:
Robert Early has been charged with Statutory Rape. He has been accused of having sexual intercourse with a child who was 12 years old. Early was 17 years old when he allegedly committed this crime in January 2024.

Last year, Early appeared before Judge Marcie Southerland where she denied bail. He was arrested on Locust Street by WCSO deputies and members of the Vicksburg Police Department after a crime-stopper tip came in at about 2:00 a.m.
James:
LeVonte James has been charged with Sexual Battery of a child under the age of 14. He is accused of engaging in sexual penetration with a child who was 11 years old at the time. James was 27 years old at the time he allegedly committed this crime.

James also has another charge of Sexual Battery of a child under the age of 14. This charge is from an alleged act with the same victim on or about February 2024-April 2024.
All three have a right to take their case to trial or plead guilty in front of a judge where they will face sentencing.
