Makayla Jackson shined last week for Mississippi Delta CC
MOORHEAD, Miss.(VDN) — Makayla Jackson, a Vicksburg native, delivered a strong performance for Mississippi Delta Community College despite a 17-15 loss to East Mississippi Community College.
Jackson, a sophomore outfielder, led the way at the plate with three hits and three RBIs, continuing her productive start to the season. She now has 11 hits and six RBIs while batting .355.
A 2024 graduate of Warren Central High School, Jackson played under head coaches Dana McGivney and Brian Ellis before continuing her career at the collegiate level.
Mississippi Delta Community College will return to action Tuesday when it travels to face Coahoma Community College.
