Mary Louise “Tippy” Cupp: 1930-2025

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Mary Louise “Tippy” Cupp passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 94.

Tippy was born on October 22, 1930, the daughter of Clodies Joseph Bourgoyne and Lilly Mildred Albert Bourgoyne. She retired from A&P after 31 years of service.  She greatly loved her children and grandchildren.  She loved to cook and was renowned for her biscuits.  She loved fried chicken especially drumsticks.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Florene Randall and brother C. J. Bourgoyne.

Mary Louise is survived by her daughters Janie Ruth Hollowell (Thomas) and Mary Ann Lockhart, sisters Shirley Soverns and Delores Jones and 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Glenwood Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Roger Cresswell.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
