Meridian CC golfer killed in a car wreck

A Meridian Community College golfer was killed on Saturday in a car wreck.

The school announced over social media that sophomore Wesley Pippins has been identified as the deceased.

“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the devastating loss of Wesley Pippins, a sophomore golfer from MCC, who tragically lost his life in a car accident last night,” the post read. “As we mourn the loss of such a promising young life, our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Wesley’s family, friends, and the entire MCC community during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our heartfelt condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy.”

Funeral arrangements have not been publicly announced at this time.
