Merit Health River Region Blood Drive August 14

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Merit Health River Region will host a blood drive Wednesday, August 14. The drive will be held from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Classrooms A-D.

Blood supply quantities have taken another drastic hit this summer due to low donor turnout and limited mobile blood drive locations. Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is currently experiencing an emergency shortage of blood types A, B, and O.

MBS is asking the community to step up and help save lives by stopping in at the nearest donation center and donating. Each donation can save up to three lives, making a significant impact on the community.

The donation location, Merit Health River Region, is located at 2100 Hwy 61 N. Donors will receive a $15 Gift Card for their donation.
