Michael “Blue” Banks Inducted Into Vicksburg-Warren Athletics Hall of Fame
VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Michael “Blue” Banks was officially inducted into the Vicksburg-Warren School District Athletics Hall of Fame during a ceremony held last Thursday at the Vicksburg Convention Center. Banks was one of nine individuals honored at the event.
A 1989 graduate of Vicksburg High School, Banks excelled in football, basketball and track before going on to play at Alcorn State University, where he was the school’s only three-sport athlete at the time.
Banks later returned to Vicksburg High School to coach before transitioning into an administrative role. He currently serves as principal at South Delta High School.
