Missy Gators picked up two wins at the Laurel Tournament; Boys fell short

Laurel, Ms-The Vicksburg High School girls’ soccer team picked up two wins at the Laurel Tournament on Saturday.

In game one, the Missy Gators shut out Wayne County 3-0. Amari Johnson had two goals in the win and Tamiyah Davis finished with one while Lil Kistler grabbed one save.

In game two, Kennedy Mullins earned both of the goals in the 2-0 win over Hattiesburg. Kistler had five saves. 

The boys took a 3-0 loss to Newton County and 1-0 to Wayne County. Arthur Davis had 9 saves against Newton and Johnathan Qualls had 5. Arthur Davis had 12 saves against Wayne County.

VHS will host Loyd Star on Monday.
