Multiple local track athletes placed at their AAU meet

Multiple athletes with the Olympus Bound track club placed at their AAU meet in Hammond, Louisiana.

Vicksburg native Adria Burrell came in first place in the 200 M(24.99) and second in the 100 M(12.01). She recently won the state championship at Warren Central in the 200 M and second in the 100 M.

Dwight Palmer, another WC runner, dominated in the 200 M and earned a blue ribbon with a time of 21.72. 

Raymond High School’s Cooper Rodgers won the 400 M in 47.24 seconds. He recently signed with Mississippi State University after winning state in the 200 and 400 M.

WC graduate Jonathan Henderson won the High Jump after hopping 6’10. In his junior year, Henderson was nationally ranked and he recently signed with South Alabama.

Danasia Ross came in second in the 100 M Hurldles(15.56). Shayne Reason finished fourth in the 400 and sixth in the 110 MH. WC’s Cameron Eaddy competed in the 200(23.19) and 400 M. Missy Gators’ Shaniyah Walker, who signed with Hinds CC, came in sixth place as well in the 400 M(1:00.82)
