Nick Anders named Defensive Coordinator of the EE Selects Football Program
EDMONTON. (VDN) — Nick Anderson, a Vicksburg native, has been named defensive coordinator of the EE Selects Football Program.The announcement was made public on social media last week, where Anderson, along with other CFL professional athletes, accepted coaching positions.
The EE Selects Program allows Canadian athletes ages 12–18 to receive high-level coaching and education. It is an offseason program run by the Edmonton Elks for top football prospects in Alberta. Participants are coached by current and former professionals and compete in tournaments.
Anderson remains a star linebacker for the Elks’ football team, despite suffering an injury last season. In 2024, he was named the Canadian Football League’s Most Outstanding Rookie and earned All-CFL honors after recording 116 tackles.
