Nurse Eloise Ford Has Retired
VICKSBURG, Miss. – Nurse Eloise Ford has recently embarked on her well-deserved retirement. A heartwarming celebration took place at the Vicksburg Convention Center last Saturday, where Nurse Ford was honored for her dedication and commitment throughout her career.
Ford’s journey in the nursing field began in 1977 as a nurse’s aide, and through her hard work and perseverance, she achieved her goal of becoming a licensed practical nurse at Hinds Community College by 1982. In 1992, Ford furthered her education by earning a bachelor of science in nursing from Alcorn State University. Since 2002, she has served as a Health Science Instructor at Hinds Community College Career and Technical Center on the Vicksburg campus, imparting her knowledge and expertise to countless students.
Over the years, Nurse Ford has dedicated herself to teaching life-saving techniques to aspiring healthcare professionals. Her outstanding contributions led her to be honored with the prestigious 2023 Educator of the Year Award.
