One dead in Tuesday afternoon rollover

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — One person is dead after a rollover accident on Fisher Ferry on Tuesday afternoon near Amanda Drive.

According to eyewitnesses, just before 4:30 p.m., a silver Chrysler crossed over the center line and made contact with a black SUV. Both vehicles rolled over, with the Chrysler leaving the roadway and going down an embankment. The driver of the Chrysler was rendered assistance by people at the scene, but they were unable to revive her. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital. There is no word on her current condition.

Multiple units with the Warren County Fire Service, along with Rescue, FD-1 Trey Martin, and Warren County Sheriff’s deputies, responded to the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Loretta Williams Brown, 65, of Vicksburg.
