One shot on Alcorn Drive

Just after 2 p.m., one person was shot on Alcorn Drive in what an eyewitness described as a shootout.

According to the eyewitness, there were at least 20 gunshots exchanged between the parties. One of the people involved was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle for a gunshot wound. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies were out at a location on Ironwood where a vehicle had a gunshot through the windshield. That vehicle was towed and taken for evidence.

At least 4 people, including 2 juveniles, have been taken to the Vicksburg Police Department related to this incident.

Assistant Chief Mike Bryant sent a press release stating that the investigation is ongoing and that more information will be made available.
