VICKSBURG, Miss. — Patty Joyce Pardee, affectionately known as Mrs. Pat or Mamaw, departed this earthly life on July 18, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born in Huttig, Arkansas, on September 2, 1932, Patty was cherished by all who knew her. She served as a beacon of strength and grace for her family, embodying the calm in the storm for those around her.

Patty was renowned for her culinary skills, especially her famous chocolate pie and mayhaw jelly. She was an avid fisherwoman, despite not being able to swim, and she enjoyed bingo, circle-a-word puzzles, and, most importantly, spending time with her beloved family.

Patty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom Pardee; her daughters, Tanyia Pennington Richardson and Kaye Pennington Evans; and her cherished grandson, Kyle Curtis Ishmael. The thought of their heavenly reunion brings comfort to those she left behind.

She is survived by her devoted granddaughter, Monica Elaine Hicks, her loving son-in-law, Steven Evans, and granddaughter, Kayden Ishmael. Her grandchildren, Ryan Warnock and his wife Brandy; granddaughters, Alaina Warnock, and Analese Warnock Emfinger and her husband Chris Emfinger, and Emily Morgan, will carry on her legacy. Her great-grandchildren, Dawsen Ware, Maverick Ware, and Kylar and Corey Hendon, continue to be a testament to her life’s love.

In addition to her immediate family, Patty shared a special bond with her stepchildren of 40 years, Richard Pardee and his wife Rosita, Lisa Pardee Morgan and her husband Rodney, and Tommy Pardee. She embraced them with open arms and a loving heart, cherishing the unique connection they shared.

She is also survived by her dear sisters, Syble Roberson and Sarah H. Evans, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Legacy Nursing Home in Tallulah, Louisiana, for their love and care over the past four years.

Patty’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Pallbearers will be Steven Evans, Richard Pardee, Jamie Strong, David Crowe, Jr., Christopher Emfinger and Austin Adcock.

Visitation will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
