PCA advances to the second round after defeating Park Place

Vicksburg, Ms –Porter’s Chapel Academy football team advances to the second round of the playoffs after defeating Park Place 48-22 on Friday night.

Jase Jung paved the way for the win as he had 246 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. He also threw two touchdowns and caught two interceptions.

Schaffer Bell scored a 56-yard touchdown and Auston Moore ran one in for 14 yards while Jung threw a 68-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Simms and a 58-yard pass to Chad Fuson. Defensively, Simms led with nine tackles while Schaffer Bell grabbed eight. Moore sacked the quarterback twice and finished with seven tackles while Conley Johnston had one sack and seven tackles.

The Eagle will travel to face DeSoto School on Friday.
